The Austrian Association for Betting and Gambling (OVWG) has a new Vice President: Dominik Beier has held this position since April 2019. “With Dominik Beier, we have won a dynamic personality for the Executive Committee who knows the industry very well and is very well connected internationally,” says President Claus Retschitzegger. “I wish him every success for his new professional challenge and for his work at OVWG and look forward to working with him!”
Dominik Beier has been Speaker of the Board at Interwetten since April 1, 2019. Interwetten is a pioneer in the industry and has been offering online betting since 1997. He himself started his professional career at LAOLA1. After a stopover in Hamburg at Lagardère Sports, he returned to LAOLA1 in 2013 to initially build up the sports marketing and media business in Austria and finally move to management. Since the takeover by Sportradar in 2016, as Global Head of Advertising & Sponsorship Sales with his team, he has managed around 100 betting providers. “For a new regulation and further development of the online sector to succeed in Austria, not only responsible providers are needed, but also a strong representation of interests which communicates the concerns of the industry clearly and uniformly. I am delighted to be able to make my contribution as Vice President of OVWG from now on,” said Dominik Beier.
